In 2016 during the festive period, i went to the bank to make some payments. It was my time going to that particular branch. I was pretty much a novice...i didn't know how they do things there.
When i got in i met a short queue. I was the fifth person on the queue. If you have ever been to a Nigerian bank, long queues are a norm, and in the festive period, they are even longer. But surprisingly i was faced with a short queue. The queue led to a room. Every time someone comes out of the room, the person closest to the door enters. Strangely, the people coming out from the room were not the same ones who entered but i didn't really care.
When it got to my turn, i entered the room and found a longer queue waiting for me. This time people weren't standing but were sitting. Four very long benches were arranged for customers to sit on while waiting for their turn. I wanted to go out but time wasn't my friend because it was getting really close to 4pm...the closing time for all the banks. So i opted to stay.
My decision to stay paid off. There were four bankers attending to us and they were really fast. So i didn't spend much time at the bank.
Sometimes life's disappointment are much more severe. The job we hoped for didn't come; friends we depended on failed us; the romantic relationship we longed for disappointed us. But in all of these, God is saying something. Apostle Paul wrote, " Suffering yields perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope in God will never fail us because God loves us so much that He gave His son for us to have life. (Rom. 5:3-5, John 3:16).
As we place our trust in Him, through His Spirit, God whispers the truth that we are unconditionally loved and we will one day be with Him.

WALKING IN LOVE
September 10, 2017 The Ambassador
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision or uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love - Galatians 5:6
We are known by the strength of our love; our love defines us. Love causes us to act in faith; when love is not there, our faith becomes powerless. It is only through love we respond to God and to others. Some of us have suppressed our faith by failing to walk in love.
The master said, "Love your neighbour..." Your neighbour can be anyone - someone from a different denomination or with different beliefs. Love them all as you love yourself.
Faith works together with love. If i love you as much as i love myself, i ought to know what you need... that's love. Because God loves us, He knew we needed a permanent solution for our sins - Jesus Christ.
Love is very important because it is the force which sets faith in motion. Have faith in God, all things shall become possible, and faith works by love.

THE SECRET OF LIVING IN ABUNDANCE
September 09, 2017 The Ambassador
Remember the story of
Job where he lost everything? He lost his health, he lost his family, he lost
his wealth. He lost everything. At the end of the book, God gave it all back to
Job. Why? Because Job prayed for himself? No. it says,
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10).
If you are hurting
today and need encouragement, recall those times in your past when God carried
you through to a place of rest. Find a group, a Bible believing group, not only
because you need help from others, but so you can help others overcome their
own challenges the little way you can; pray for those in need of help and then
God can help you too.
Sow a seed of what you
want from God in the lives of others, and watch God multiply it in your life.

BE READY TO RECEIVE FROM GOD
September 02, 2017 The Ambassador
Two friends, Jack and Phil lived close to each other. Jack
went to meet Phil for financial assistance, that he was sick. Phil opted to
pray for him but before he did, he asked if Jack believed that God could heal
him. Jack said yes. At the end of the prayer, Phil asked, “hope you are still
going to give me the money?”
Most times it is not like we don’t have faith but who/what
exactly are we basing our faith on – is it God or the creation of God? When we
asked God to save us, to deliver us or provide for us, we should leave the
“how” to Him because He is God. We do not know the intrinsic details on how He created us but He did. Also we do not need to ask Him how He will provide for
us; we only need to prepare ourselves to receive from Him.
Be ready to receive
from God at all times because the exact time the blessing will come, we do
not know.

INCREASE YOUR FAITH
August 31, 2017 The Ambassador
A man with a closed arm is a man that isn’t ready to
receive. Faith is like an arm, with it you can receive from God. Without faith
it is impossible to receive from God, without faith it is impossible to have
anything with God.
A pastor raised his hand and people fell down, you prayed
for seven days and night but nothing happened – the sick is still sick, the
lame did not walk. You believe in God but nothing happens when you pray. What
is wrong? You need to have the faith required to receive from God.
"And straightaway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, i believe; help my unbelief" - Mark 9:24
Sometimes our faith is not strong enough to receive the answer to the request we presented to God; that is why Peter urged us to grow in faith and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have a Father that gives all things, He will give unto us
the faith we needed to receive the answers we desire if we only ask Him to
increase our faith.

IF YOU HAVE FAITH SHOW ME YOUR WORKS
August 27, 2017 The Ambassador
And then the preacher asked the congregation, “What have you
accomplished with your faith?” You claim to have faith; what is the evidence of
your faith – have you been able to heal the sick?
By faith Abel offered
an acceptable sacrifice unto God. By faith Moses parted the red sea. By faith a
young man with no military experience defeated the mighty Goliath. By faith the
elders obtained a good report. What have you accomplished with your faith?
A man closed from his shop during the weekdays and went
straight to church. While praying during the service, he heard a voice that
told him to give all the money that was in his pocket – which included the
profit and capital for that day. He ignored the command, but he heard the voice
again as he was about to go home after the service. He went back and gave it
all away.
Today he owns a chain of business in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state. His work – he gave it all away yesterday and received
bountifully today.

DO REMEMBER THE LAST TIME GOD SAVED YOU
August 22, 2017 The Ambassador
When we have lived through a difficult situation like a car accident or an armed robbery incident etc. and discovered that God was faithful, keeping that in mind helps greatly when next we are faced another difficult situation. We may not know how God will get us through our challenges, but we know His compassion faileth not.
The LORD has done great things for each and everyone of us (Psalm 126:3a), let's remember all those things and keep in mind that He can do even greater things.

THE SECRET TO IMPOSSIBILITY
August 18, 2017 The Ambassador
People search for life's meaning in many ways- Wealth,
power, status and possessions. As alluring as all these may be, people
who achieved them are still not satisfied.
Each of us is created by God for a purpose. There are no
self-made men or women. No one ever became talented, buffed, tall, or bright
all by himself or herself. God made each of us all by Himself. He thought of us
and formed us out of His unspeakable love.
God made your body, mind, and soul. And He isn’t done with
you; He is still making you. His single-minded purpose is our maturity: “He who
began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ
Jesus” (Phil. 1:6).
God wants to make you braver, stronger, purer, more peaceful,
more loving, less selfish—the kind of person you’ve perhaps always wanted to be
but couldn’t manage to be because of the expectations from all around.
“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. I will make
your dreams come true”, He says.
Jesus wants to take us out of our realm of impossibilities to
a realm where everything is made possible through Him.

FILLING EACH DAY WITH THANKS
August 15, 2017 The Ambassador
I read an article
online about a lady called Sue. Sue wanted to become more thankful so she
decided to write down each day one thing she thanked God for.
Some days she had a lot
to write about and other days she struggled to find a reason to be thankful.
At the end of the year
she gathered all the notes. She found herself thanking God again for all He had
done.
Making notes of all the
LORD did for her each day, She realized that truly God's goodness and mercies
do follow her.
The Psalmist wrote "Surely God's goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life" (Psalm 23:6).
This year I’m going to
be thanks-living, maybe you'd like to as well. Let’s see what the LORD will do
for us at the end of each day, week or month and be thankful for it.

A LITTLE OPPORTUNITY IS ALL GOD NEEDS TO MAKE HISTORY
August 14, 2017 The Ambassador
Early hours of the night, a lady was carrying
a polythene bag. She was stopped by a couple of passers-by that claimed they
heard the cry of a baby from the bag. After serious of questioning, the mother of the baby cried that she doesn't need the baby, it came into her life under wrong circumstances Few days later the baby died.
In Exodus we read a about a loving mother in
a desperate situation. Moses' mother hid him as long as she could. After three
months, she put him in a watertight basket and placed the basket in the Nile
River. Baby Moses was found by Pharoah's daughter who loved him at first sight and brought him up as her own child.
If the plan was for the baby to be rescued
and raised up in pharaoh's palace, and deliver his people, it worked perfectly, then it was a perfect plan by GOD.
When a desperate mother gives her child a
chance, God can take it from there.

WHAT CAN WE GIVE TO GOD
August 10, 2017 The Ambassador
Take a moment to write
down what you want God to do for you this New Year, and also write down what
you want to do for that orphanage home across the street. If you were to do
this, what gift would you ask for? What gift would you give? Think about it.
According to the Bible, God has promised to supply all our needs... which could be in the form of a new job, a life partner, a
child, a house etc. But the most important gift we can ever receive is God's
gift of His son, our Savior, and with Him forgiveness, restoration and fulfillment, with a crown of life.
What could be the most important gift we can ever give to God? "If i were a wise man, i would do my part. Yet what can i give Him other than to give Him my heart." - Christina G. Rossetti
God doesn’t need our
money, our cars, our house… God wants our heart, serving Him in spirit and in
truth. Jesus Christ said, “The father seeks worshipers in spirit” and not
materialistic worship.

WHAT BEGINS WITH FAITH
August 06, 2017 The Ambassador
“All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword
or spear that the LORD saves; for the battles is the LORD’s, and He will give
all of you into our hands. “ (I Samuel 17:47)
When David came face to face with Goliath, if he had not
believed in his heart the words he spoke… imagine what would have happened to
him; God would not have heard him, he would have been killed and Israel would
have been destroyed.
When you come face to face with Jesus, He is not interested
in your money, position, fame, political power or the kind of life you used to
live. I mean He is not interested in anything you have except your faith; faith
makes you one with Him (without faith it is impossible to please God).
Jesus said, “If you have faith in me, these works that I do, you will do greater” (John 14:12). Having faith in Jesus allows you to have His power, ability and strength.
Faith starts with confessing what you believe and believing
what you confess. If you believe in Jesus, you will confess Him.

THE POWER OF YOUR CONFESSION I
August 05, 2017 The Ambassador
“You come against me
with a sword and a spear and a shield, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty…
all those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the
LORD saves; for the battles is the LORD’s, and He will give all of you into our
hands. “ (I Samuel 17:45-47)
David defeated the giant by speaking the word of faith.
Faith acts on God’s word. God’s word is spirit; it brings light where there is
darkness. It shows us who we were, who we are and who we shall be.
It is the word of God which came out of David that gave him the victory.
Victory is in our faith; without faith we can get nothing from
God. Victory is for all that believe in their hearts that Jesus is the
redeemer. Confess what you believe and believe what you confess.

HAVING FAITH IN THE PROVIDER RATHER THAN THE PROVISIONS
August 01, 2017 The Ambassador
My teacher shared a story with about ignoring God’s
ordinances. There was a time he chose not to give his tithe because it wasn’t
convenient for him. He purposed in his heart to pay when the time is right; now
is not right because there are things he needed to settle and things he needed
to repair. His car was faulty and the mechanic told him was some parts needs to
be replaced. He gave money to one dealer to go to Lagos to find the parts
because they were not readily available in Warri, Delta state
.
This happened about 10 years ago, up until now he is still
waiting for the dealer to return with the parts. He said when he calculated
total amount he lost to the dealer, it was equivalent to the amount (his tithe)
he owed God. From that day he learnt that what belongs to God is for God and no
excuse should be given.
“Then God said, ‘Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.’” Gen. 22:2
Suppose Abraham had waited for a more convenient time to
carry out God’s instruction. What would have happened? If Abraham’s belief did
not see beyond Isaac, it would have been very difficult for him to carry out
God’s instruction. But Abraham’s actions showed a man that trusted in God the
provider more than the provisions.
The provisions will always run dry but the provided is
always there to keep you satisfied. Our duty to God is to obey His
instructions, and His duty is to keep His promise.

THE KEY TO FULFILLING MAN’S PURPOSE
July 31, 2017 The Ambassador
Purpose is the key to life. If your life is measured by
material possession, then your life will become an endless string of activities
with little or no fulfillment. The primary purpose of every phone is to make a
call, but when a phone cannot perform this function, it loses its identity – it
is no longer a phone.
A lot of us live without an idea about our purpose, thus
making us to search endlessly for an answer. What most of us do not know is
that purpose comes from within.
Purpose Comes From Qualities
Purpose is burn out of design. God has created you with all
you need to fulfill your purpose; all your likes and dislikes, your qualities
and attributes such as height, weight, color, physique, tongue, every fiber of
your being are all part of God’s design to help you fulfill your purpose (Exo.
4:11-12).
Purpose is achieved through Love & Satisfaction
What are the things you are naturally good at? The things
you love doing that brings you satisfaction. These are the things God wants you
to do for Him in order to fulfill your purpose here on earth.
The key to fulfilling your purpose is not far from your heart.

FAITH- Meaning and Basis
July 26, 2017 The Ambassador
What is Faith?
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen” – Hebrews 11 – 1
Faith is a trust solely and exclusively used to bridge two
phenomena – God and His word; through faith we understand that the worlds were
framed by the word of God (Heb. 11:3). Without faith God’s possibilities are
not accessible to man.
Basis of Human Faith
Our faith has been based on anything… most times we see
someone do something and we believe in our heart that that person can always do
that same thing. Whenever there is electricity we expect the TV to come ON
whenever we switch it ON unless it is faulty; but we do not apply this same
believe when it comes to God.
Biblical Faith
Faith can be grown; how do you grow your faith? – You only
need to see the hand of God, not just in you but in anyone. Faith comes by
hearing the word of God. The Bible tells us about the wonders of God, His glorious works and His wonderful promises.

ATTRIBUTES OF GOD THAT MAKES HIM TRUSTWORTHY
July 23, 2017 The Ambassador
I was born into a family of nine, living together under one
roof. We eat together, sleep together and rise up early in the morning
together. That was our normal average routine for a day, and for a while it
seems as if things will always remain the same.
Today we are in different parts of the country, some of us are
easily accessible while some are not; every one with different goals and
agendas.
The fact that time changes man disqualifies man from trust –
Man has a beginning and an end, man is not the same yesterday, today and
forever, and man can die.
God is a supreme being that has always been and will always
be. His character changeth not. He is the I AM THAT I AM, He was there at the
beginning and will also be there at the end. God is the same yesterday, today
and forever which makes Him dependable.
God is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent.

BEN-HUR: A TALE OF CHRIST
July 19, 2017 The Ambassador
‘Ben-Hur’ is a novel by Lew Wallace which tells the fictional
story of a young Jewish prince, Judah Ben-Hur alongside with the true story of
Jesus Christ. The book guided readers to see how the life and sacrifices of
Jesus was able to stare up love and forgiveness in the heart of Judah Ben-Hur.
The author, Lew Wallace, read and researched the Bible, and
in turn wrote about Christ in his book, ‘Ben-Hur’ which led him to confess, “I
have seen the Nazarene... I saw him perform works which no mere man could
perform.”
Today the New Testament hold records of the life of Jesus –
the miracles He performed, His words of wisdom, and His triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
At the end of the gospel of John, he wrote,
“Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:30-31).

THE BEAUTY OF SILENCE
June 23, 2017 The Ambassador
The deacon and I paired up together during evangelism. We
approached a lady sitting at the veranda of her house. The lady rebuked us, “I
already know what the Bible says, I don’t need you”. I was tempted to reply but
the deacon ushered us to go after saying to her, “God bless you.”
Many a time we want to reply to show how knowledgeable we
are or proclaim our holiness, but there’s much to learn while being silent… the
little we know now we acquire as a result of being silent.
By being silent we welcome God’s judgement – “The LORD is in
His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him” (Habakkuk 2:20). All
the earth: the oppressed and the oppressor, sinners and saints, literates and
illiterates.
Silence allows us to recognize our own deficiency, and it allows us to surrender the need to judge and condemn others by trusting God to be God

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD II
June 22, 2017 The Ambassador
There’s this lady friend in church I fancy a lot. Whenever
she holds the mic to sing, the atmosphere changes. I had often wondered why she hasn't gone out to the world to sing... maybe it's because of the testimonies she usually shares.
I’ve been away from the church for a while until last Sunday.
During service my heart was greatly disturbed. My friend was the one who led the worship and prayer session; when
she held the mic, peace came upon me.
Every one of us have been given unique talents by God, but
many a time we use these talents for the glorification of ourselves or/and for
the world.
God given talents heals, restores and nourishes when used
for the glory of Him that has bestowed it on you.
