WHY FAITH DOESN’T WORK

Abraham is known as the father of faith; he followed God wholeheartedly, believed every word God said. That’s what faith is all about –

(1) Trusting God

(2) Believing His word

A lot of us have faith; more like misplaced faith – We have faith in drugs, in people, in economy etc. A young man had a wealthy uncle that promised to help him with a job once he’s done with college. His uncle was a respectable man with integrity, he was a man of his word. This young man was so sure of his uncle. When the time was right; he went to his uncle’s house only to find that his uncle passed away the previous night. All of his plans, aspiration, and dreams died that moment

Looking at Biblical faith as shown by Abraham; He had faith in God. The Bible describe God has the one who was, who is and who will always be. Abraham trusted the God that doesn’t change, who has no beginning and no end. There’s no man with no beginning; every man was born and every man will die.

Having faith that something will turn out good is very different from having faith in God. Irrespective of what we are hoping for or who we are looking at, let’s not forget that it is God that made all things possible, and He is still the one that will make all things possible.
