WHAT SHOULD ACCOMPANY YOUR PRAYER

Anytime we pray, we should acknowledge the fact that God is holy and perfect in all things. Therefore when we pray it should not only center on our requests and wants. The following should be part of prayer.

-         Holiness

We should examine ourselves, confess our sins and repent from all unrighteousness. For God will not hear a man filled with iniquity. (Psalm 66:18)

-          Thanksgiving

Giving thanks is a way of acknowledging all that the LORD hath done for you; Lord, I appreciate your goodness in my life. (Philippians 4:6)

-          Interceding For Others

By praying for others it shows we are not only thinking of ourselves. The beauty of praying for others is seen in the life of Job; God restored him after he prayed. (Job 42:10)

-          In Spirit and In Truth

Those that worship God must do so in spirit and in truth; also prayers should be done in spirit and in truth according to the will of God. (John 4:24, James 4:3).
