LEAVING YOUR CHOICE TO GOD
In most cultures, the elder or the highest ranking
individual is allowed to make a choice first. A lot of us find it very difficult to
let others choose first especially when it involves something of great
importance.
Abraham’s servant and Lot’s (his nephew) servant were having
disagreement. To avoid conflict, Abraham suggested they part company and gave
Lot to choose any direction to take while he will take the other (Gen. 13:8-9).
Lot choose a more fertile land and left Abraham with the less desirable land.
Abraham did not insist on rights as he was much older than Lot but he trusted
the LORD to take control of his future. Lot’s choice ended in an undesirable manner for
his family.
Today we find ourselves making several choices which could either shape our lives for the worse or
better. In other to be certain that we will always come out good, lets trust
our Father to guide us in His way; He has promised to care for us.
Those who put their trust in the LORD shall never be disappointed!
Those who put their trust in the LORD shall never be disappointed!
