NO MORE SPIRITUAL OFFERINGS
A lot of churches today have a habit of requesting for an item or a list of items, some even go as far as requesting for money to buy these so called spiritual items for spiritual cleansing. In an act of desperation we are force to concur to their demands, probably because we've heard about miracles they've performed or somebody close to us gave us their word that these pastors or prophets are the real deal. The Bible says that God's people do perish because of lack of understanding. In light of this, let me share my thoughts with you in accordance to the scripture.
In the Old Testament burnt offerings and sacrifices
are required for the remission of sin, and it is done yearly simply because the blood of animals can not completely set us from sin. God established a
new covenant by which we are sanctified through the offering of the body of
Jesus Christ once and for all (Heb. 8:10).
So therefore, for the remission of sin there's no
need for offerings and sacrifice (Heb. 10:18).We need to beware of fake
prophets/pastors you to come for spiritual cleansing, bath in the river or
buying of some items for one reason or the other. Don't let the devil deceive
you. All that is required of us is having faith in God; accept Christ as our Lord
and personal savior, and it is done.
