WHAT SURROUNDS GIVING

Apostle Paul urged us to give what we have decided in our heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion (2 Cor. 9:7).  When we give reluctantly, irrespective of the value, we loose the blessings associated with it.

We should give not because we feel we are better but because it is a way to give God thanks. When we give under pressure or reluctantly, we are still holding on to what we’ve given out in our heart; it's then no longer “giving”.

The Bible made us to understand that God loves a cheerful giver.  A cheerful giver is someone who gives freely, generously, praising the name of the LORD while doing it. When you do so, you will realize that it is indeed truly more fulfilling to give than to receive.

Whoever refreshes others will be refreshed – Proverbs 11:25
