THE PRESENCE OF GOD
A journey describes life in this broken world. I had often
questioned my existence, wondered if it had any meaningful significance. I've
often wondered if i was unique, if the challenges i faced have ever been felt
by someone else, if there's anyone out there that can say 'i understand'.
I grew up without a mom or dad. When I was very young, I
felt different when every kid in the block talked about their parents, I had
nothing to say. I could not talk to anyone about it; I kept everything in,
mostly because I was shy and I do not want to be judged or pictured inferior to
my peers or treated with preference because of my situation. But today, I feel
special because most things I learned along the way I could not have learnt
them if my parents were around.
For the followers of Christ, we are assured of the constant
presence of God (Ps. 139:7-12). The scriptures have assured us that there is no
challenge that we will face that Christ has not already overcome. When you appear lesser than your peers, God's grace lifts you beyond your imagination.
