YOU ARE FORGIVEN
I went to bed the previous night fully aware that I had done
something bad. Though I felt bad about it, I wasn’t ready for atonement. I
wanted to close my eyes and forget about everything like yesterday never
happened.
I woke up this morning with my thoughts centered on King
David. What made him a man after God’s heart though he sinned against God? Then
I realized that he never allowed sin to stop him from calling on God, always
confessing his unrighteousness – I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your
servant (Psalm 119:176).
The Bible said all have sinned and if we claim that we are
without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins purify us from all
unrighteousness (1 John 1:7-9).
Most times when we make a wrong choice we are often tempted to give up on our faith thinking that our mistakes are 'too much' or 'too frequent', hence there's no need to keep on trying.
God's word for you today- My grace is sufficient for you. You are forgiven, return to me and I will make you whole.
