DO NOT FORSAKE YOUR OWN MERCY

One of the thoughts that I used to struggle with was whether i should serve God now or later when its convenient - serving God then will be a lot easier.

The Bible advise us to “Remember our creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, i have no more pleasure in them (Ecc. 12:1).

Lately, I have come to realized that this mind-set does not just represent only the youths but almost every individual at different stages in life waiting to attain a certain height before they can fully come to God. It is human nature to want things, to always desire more even when it’s not require.

Jonah said, "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy" (Jonah 2:8).

Whatever you are aiming for in this world, which is taking the place of your salvation will not save you (Jonah 2:9b). Though the mercy of the LORD is forever, it is not available to the dead. No one knows the time death will come; be prepared!
